Yesterday, I received this in my email:
"Congratulations! You have been accepted to run the ING New York City Marathon 2009 on Sunday, November 1. On behalf of New York Road Runners, I welcome you to the 40th running of the world’s greatest marathon. We’re hard at work preparing to give you the experience of a lifetime."
I guess this is a sign that I should start training again? :)

Scheduling Workouts
The easiest excuse I have not to workout is my schedule. I schedule my workouts on my calendar, but impromptu meetings and looming deadlines are always an easy way for me to skip a scheduled workout. I am trying to get in three miles and strength training today.

New Training Program and Motivation
I have begun this week to try Hal Higdon's Intermediate Spring Training Schedule. I always fall in to a trap of after running the Houston Marathon in January taking some time off from training and having a tough time starting up again. My marathon times are ok, but I have yet to break 4 hours. I hope that this training plan will help me gain a little speed.
I have found new motivation through people I have found on Twitter and subsequently their blogs. The two main guys I like to follow are:
Runnerdude and Body for Wife
They both are prolific in their tweets and posts and keep me motivated to keep after it. Thanks guys.
